Ladle Swage Block, Deep with Wide Rim

$44.00

Quit Lugging Around Your Heavy Swage Block and Try This One!

Are you making Armor, candle cups, kitchen ladles/skimmers, or flowers etc? This is the tool for the job. Artist Blacksmiths sometimes require a tool that will allow metal to be formed in ways that an anvil or traditional industrial swage block will not allow. We developed swage blocks that are individual and easy to handle that can be held in a vise. No more searching for the heavy expensive swage blocks, or having to manhandle the one.

This ladle swage is 3 1/2" in diameter and approx. 1 1/2" deep. The wide rim was designed to fold the rim of the part being produced to invert the apart and make courting candle bases. Don't be confused by the size because it will form much larger pieces by just moving the project from side to side. You can form half rounds and make a ball. The swage is used by Blacksmiths and Tinsmiths to form shallow bowls, ladles, candle cups, etc.

  • Make a 3-1/2" tapered diameter by 1-1/2” deep ladle

  • 3 1/2” approx ID at the meeting point of the lip

  • 0.40” approx wide lip or rim

  • 4.415” apporx OD with the lip

  • Made of tough 60/45/15 ductile iron

  • 3/4'' wide bar on the back side so that can be used in a vise.

Our swages have been produced for many years and have proven to be very reliable and useful.

    Made in the USA!
