Dixon Style Jewelers Tinners Stake Set of 3 Pieces (Dome, 2" Mushroom, Holder)
The is a 3 piece set of Dixon style tools. The set consists of a Dixon Style stake holder, 2” ball (mushroom) stake and a 3 1/2” low-dome mushroom stake. These silversmith stakes are used for any kind of jewelry making or metal forming, by silversmiths, blacksmiths or metalworkers.
These stakes offer versatility for forming vessels and large jewelry pieces such as bracelets. During forming, the stake supports the metal while it is worked directly with a hammer. By working on different areas of the stake, you determine the shape and dimension of the metal form and delivers an excellent curve for forming and planishing large pendants and other designs in repousse, raising, armor, and other artistic applications. The tools are light machine polished as shown in the photos.You may seesome machine shallow marks.
All the tools shown have a tapered post to fit into the hardy hole of an anvil or a stake plate which is included.
