PREMIUM FLAME-HARDENED 4140 CHROME-MOLY
"the Billy" is cast from solid 4140 chrome-moly tool steel and meticulously surface flame hardened across the working areas. This advanced metallurgical treatment provides the ultimate dual-benefit shop performance:
• High-Rebound Face: The flame-hardened outer layer creates an ultra-dense, wear-resistant face that sends maximum energy right back into your hammer blows.
• Shock-Absorbing Core: Because the core remains tough and resiliently ductile, the anvil body naturally absorbs heavy shock cycles. It will never crack, shatter, or experience deep internal fatigue common in standard cast iron.
