Scroll Starter Swage, 1" Hardy Post
The scroll starter is used by blacksmiths to start the delicate ends of a scroll. It is 3 3/8" long and 2 3/4" wide and aprox. 1" deep. This is a very useful tool.
The swage is made of tough 60/45/15 ductile iron. The swage has a 1'' hardy post to use in your anvil, vise or stake plate. The swage is used by Blacksmiths and /tinsmithings to form the ends of consistent scrolls etc. These swages have been produced for many years and have proven to be very reliable and useful.
